Ukrainian Women’s Association of America Hosts Benefit Concert to Aid Children Affected by Trauma and War in Ukraine
The Ukrainian Women’s Association of America (UWAA) is proud to announce its upcoming philanthropic event, the UWAA Benefit Concert, dedicated to aiding children impacted by the devastating consequences of war and violence in Ukraine. This extraordinary evening is set to take place Saturday, March 30, 2023 and will feature performances by renowned Ukrainian pop stars Zlata Ognevich and SHUMEI.
City of Goodness shields orphans and mothers despite funding setbacks
The Ukrainian Women’s Association of America raised funding to help City of Goodness expand their campus to house victims of trauma and war. The safe haven started as a women’s shelter in 2020 but when Russia started their terror in Ukraine in 2022, they opened their doors to refugees and children displaced by the war. With the influx of refugees they needed more space. UWAA raised funds in the United States to help them expand their campus which today houses upwards of 500 women and children.
